I was hired to brand an interior. They were stuck on a new logo another firm had produced and it wasn't landing. Listening to how they talked about it, the problem was never the space. It was the mark.
So I drew one. Unprompted, on my own time, built off their existing logo and aimed at where they wanted to be in ten years rather than where they had been. They needed something that would pull a younger membership into a new location without abandoning the people already there. When I showed it to them, they fell in love with it.
That logo became the foundation for the branch, and then for everything else. All locations, debit and credit cards, signage, ATMs, drive-ups, wayfinding, apparel, merch, stationery, website, billboards, and television.
